Gartner recently predicted that by 2026, “95% of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) vendors will improve their API integration capabilities to provide customers with a cleaner UI and API package.
Integration services allow users to integrate third-party enterprise systems with important automation features, such as computer vision, document understanding, and workflow management for automated and non-audited robots.
Since the power and success of UI and API automation depend on a company’s RPA integration strategy, we would like to share our short list of five important RPA integration strategies.
1. Ease of investigation
Auto manufacturers must check to adapt. Acceptable links should be easy to access from anywhere on an end-to-end automation platform. Design against The runtime integration should be shared within the company, allowing individual users to automate tasks.
2. A robust, pre-engineered interface is ready to support automated workflows
A catalog of predefined connections simplifies API integration by having the necessary infrastructure and customized programs associated with a given application. This reduces productivity and opens up automation through API integration to everyone from professional developers to end users. The central link should be managed to support the connection and enable and disable access.
3. Create your link
The ability to create new automatic links is a powerful option to enhance your link catalog or support unique proprietary applications. The option to import the most common API types, such as Swagger, YAML, and Postman collections, will free the application developers from link congestion.
4. Trigger events
Automated server-side triggers allow bots to work with multiple applications based on events from connected systems. Server-side events include data updates, insertion or addition of data, and deletions.
Focused activities may include adding a new employee to the HR system that results in automated tasks for IT, security, compliance, or payroll.
5. Unique design environment based on API/UI
To maximize productivity, developers need to access UI and API-based services in a single, integrated design environment with automated workflows. Your company’s automation platform should offer a variety of design environments that support different skill sets. Advanced API-savvy developers should have their workspace, as native developers and/or business users should set up simple bots and community links. In addition, the platform should support a Center of Excellence (CoE), including business and IT application owners.
